What We Do

We represent and support the museums and galleries of Wales, along with their supporters.

We provide resources, co-ordinate a training programme, run an Accreditation Support small grants scheme and provide training and conference grants for members.

We establish key partnerships with a range of bodies including:

  • Museums Archives Libraries Division (MALD), Welsh Government
  • Amgueddfa Cymru - National Museum Wales
  • Association of Independent Museums
  • Museums Association
  • National Trust
  • Visit Wales

 

We aim to initiate projects and become partners in existing projects that support and promote the Museum Strategy for Wales. We also provide a newsletter for members. YMAG is produced bi-annually and is a great way to learn of new initiatives, projects, colleagues and can be used to promote the work that you are doing.
